MMany people don’t truly know Detroit, but they often act as if they do. Detroit is not just a city with a history of economic and political challenges; it is a city that is on the rise. While the world has heard about the injustices that led to a city-wide depression, not enough people are talking about the remarkable rebuilding efforts taking place here. Detroit is not merely making a comeback; it is becoming better than ever before. This transformation is driven by its vibrant culture, the unwavering spirit of its residents, and a commitment to innovation and adaptability that permeates every corner of the city.

A Resilient Response to Crisis

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Detroit responded with a resounding call for community rebuilding. In times of crisis, our community came together to support one another. The aftermath of the pandemic saw the birth and rebranding of numerous community organizations, businesses, and creative outlets. Today, we are witnessing a resurgence in festivities, community activities, support systems, fresh food initiatives, and a reinvigorated arts and sciences scene. Every aspect of Detroit is being revitalized, and the results are nothing short of beautiful.
